Face Photo Requirements

Your face photo must meet these conditions:

• Only the applicant appears, facing forward
• Recent photo (taken within the last 6 months)
• Face not tilted left or right
• Normal expression (not smiling too much)
• Full face visible with clear face contour

Eyes & Glasses

• Eyes fully open and clearly visible
• No hair covering from eyebrows to cheeks
• No spectacles or glasses
• No colored contact lenses
• No red eyes or reflections

Background & Clothing

• Plain white or light-colored background
• No shadows in the background
• No borders around the photo
• Head coverings removed (unless religious)

Image Quality

• In focus and sharp
• Not too dark, no excessive glare
• No editing that changes your appearance
• Square aspect ratio (height = width)

File Format & Size

• Face photo: JPEG, 10KB–1MB, square
• Passport Bio Page: PDF, 10KB–300KB
• This app automatically adjusts file sizes

Passport Bio Page PDF

You need to upload the photo page (Bio Page) of your passport:

• Capture or import the entire passport photo page (Bio Page)
• Make sure all text is clearly readable
• The app converts to PDF and compresses to under 300KB

Helpful Application Info

• e-Tourist Visa (1 yr / 5 yr): apply 4–120 days before arrival; 30-day visa: 4–30 days before
• Passport must be valid for 6+ months with at least 2 blank pages
• Apply only at indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/ — the official site
• Fee varies by country and is non-refundable once paid
